Megan Rist Haymart, MD
BiographyMegan R. Haymart, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with a primary appointment in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes and a secondary appointment in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Haymart is a graduate of Johns Hopkins Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and an endocrinology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. After completing her training, she spent additional years performing research at the University of Wisconsin prior to joining the faculty at the University of Michigan in 2009.
Dr. Haymart’s practice focuses on thyroid cancer and thyroid disorders. She sees patientst at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center and at the Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes Clinic at Domino's Farms.
Dr. Haymart has an active health services research program at the University of Michigan. Her research interest is in the role of patient, provider, and health system factors in the diagnosis and management of thyroid cancer.
